Rabbi Simon Jacobson delivers historic talk on the beginning of the 40th anniversary of Rosh Chodesh Kislev, a holiday celebrated by Jews around the world, commemorating the day that the Rebbe went home five weeks after suffering a serious heart attack on Shemini Atzeret Eve 5738/1977.

The Rebbe responded by referring him to the introduction to Zohar page 4B. The Zohar there relates that Reb Chiya’s time on earth had come to an end. But Rashbi requested that he be given more time to live in order to fulfill his mission in this world. And his request was granted.
